INNOVANT partnered with Woodea to develop Nombrea: a cloud-based BIM platform and custom Revit plugin that transformed how construction components are named, managed, and deployed in industrialized timber construction.

The Client & The Challenge

Woodea is a Spanish company leading the way in sustainable, industrialized timber construction. With a mission to reduce carbon footprint and increase productivity in the building sector, they faced a recurring problem: managing thousands of BIM components efficiently while scaling their operations.

Despite using Revit, Woodea lacked a centralized system to control families, track versions, and enforce consistent naming across teams. This led to duplicated efforts, naming inconsistencies, and integration issues between architecture and engineering.

Their challenge was clear: how to turn BIM chaos into clarity, without compromising speed or control.

INNOVANT co-created Nombrea, a tailored platform that centralizes BIM content management and standardizes naming through a rule-based system integrated directly with Revit.vered in case of any unforeseen events.

Together with a powerful plugin, Nombrea enables Woodea’s teams to:

- Generate smart, unique names for families based on customizable structures.

- Link disciplines and restrict invalid combinations through code logic.

- Automatically assign GUIDs and metadata to every family and type.

- Sync components between Revit and the cloud with full version control.

- View, edit, filter, and tag families in real time from a centralized dashboard.

- Compare properties before syncing, preventing accidental overwrites.

Combined, the Nombrea + Revit plugin ecosystem became Woodea’s foundation for faster, safer, and scalable BIM workflows.
